Rev. Charles R. Hughes

District Superintendent

Chuck Hughes was born in Orlando, Florida, where his parents belonged to First Alliance Church and later became a part of the Fort Gatlin plant.  While attending the University of Central Florida, he sensed a clear call to pastoral ministry.  He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Biblical Seminary at Columbia International University in South Carolina, where he met Dale Morill, who he soon married.

After fourteen years of pastoral ministry, Chuck was invited to become the Assistant to the Superintendent, eventually becoming District Superintendent six years later. Chuck oversees the district churches and official workers, with a passion for healthy pastors leading healthy churches.  He also is the Regional Leader for the Central and Southwest Florida regions. 

Dr. Harris W. Campbell III

Assistant District Superintendent

Harris grew up in White Plains, New York, and did not come to faith in Christ until he was a freshman at the University of Colorado.  Soon afterwards, he sensed that he was to be a pastor.  He met his wife-to-be, Kathleen “Katrina” Kauffman, and together they moved to Nyack to be trained in pastoral ministry.

Harris has served in three churches over thirty years: as a church planter in Oak Harbor, Ohio, and as a senior pastor in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and at New Life Alliance Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.  He has studied at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He because the Assistant District Superintendent in March of 2006.

As Assistant District Superintendent in his third term, Harris is the Regional Leader for the Southeast coast of Florida.  He also focuses on church health.  Together, they have begun a reconciliation ministry.

Rev. Alfredo E. Gutierrez

Assistant to the Superintendent/Director of Church Planting

Alfredo was born to Christian parents in Cuba.  His father was a political prisoner for seven years, until he was granted asylum with his family in the United States in 1973.  They soon attended the Primera Iglesia in Hialeah, where Alfredo became part of the leadership team for youth.

After beginning at Toccoa Falls College, in Toccoa, Georgia, Alfredo married his sweetheart from his home church, Daisy.  Alfredo served as youth pastor in Homestead, Florida, senior pastor in Houston and Pasadena, Texas.  Interim pastor in Bloomingdale, Illinois, and founding pastor of Iglesia ACyM in Pembroke Pines, Florida.  He earned a Master of Arts degree from Wheaton Graduate School in Wheaton, Illinois.  In 2006, he became the Director of Church Planting and also serves as Regional Leader for the northern region of Florida.

Dr. John Edgar Caterson


Dr. John Edgar Caterson was born in Philadelphia and has served in The Christian and Missionary Alliance since 1993 and came to The Alliance Southeast in 1987.  He has planted six churches and currently serves as an Alliance Southeast Multiplication Associate and provides leadership for the Tampa Bay region.

John Edgar attended Toccoa Falls College, Princeton Theological Seminary, The University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and The Beeson International Center.  He holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy & Religion, a Master's degree in Divinity with a concentration in Medical Ethics, was a Supervised Post-Graduate Fellow, and holds a Doctorate in four disciplines - Story Integration, Narrative Theology, Leadership Development, and Attribution Psychology.  He is the co-author of Engage Your Strengths 4.0.  John Edgar has also co-authored two children's books - Acts Tracks and Bible Trek: Luke.

Rev. Tracy Larson


Rev. Tracy Larson is a pastor, church planter, and mentor.  Tracy has been serving the church for the last 25 years as a pastor/coach in the lives of young men and women called into full-time ministry. His passion is helping others find God's will for their lives through helping them engage in the Word of God and hear the voice of the Spirit of God in their lives.  Tracy is currently serving as Lead Pastor/Church Planter of Cross Life Church in Land O Lakes, Florida where he has been mentoring and training future leaders, pastors, church planters, and missionaries to serve the body of Christ.



Rev. Brian Shore has served Christ in The Alliance Southeast since 1984.  He and his wife, Vicki, have pastored churches in Lakeland, Daytona Beach, Boynton Beach, and Jacksonville.  While he planted the church in Boynton Beach as part of a team, his most fruitful ministry has been in turning declining churches around.  He is viewed by others as a strategic thinker and loves to maximize the church hoping to take it to the next level.
